Make-up artist Nadine Vendryes stumbled upon her passion, but her success is no coincidence. It was as a finalist for the Miss Jamaica Universe pageant where Vendryes ended up doing the make-up for herself as well as her competitors; she didn't win the crown but she that was the beginning of a life long love affair. Vendryes has been using the face as her canvas for ten years.
Her professional career began in Miami, where she was a make-up artist for MAC but soon after began booking music videos and lots of editorial work. Her career took a turn when she became the personal make-up artist for recording artist Trina. With her sights set on new professional horizons, Vendryes left the comfort of Miami and moved to New York City.
Vendryes' relentless determination landed her more celebrity work with clients like Missy Elliot, Da Brat, Eve, Tina Knowles and the personal make-up artist to Patti LaBelle. Vendryes says her clients are great and make her job that much easier because they're beautiful on the inside. And for Vendryes the evolution of new trends, new color palettes, and new products from season to season keep the job interesting. Vendryes believes her success is due to the fact that she truly loves what she does.
Her recent work includes doing the make-up for the House of Dereon and Miss Tina look books. Currently Vendryes is working with Florence Welch of Florence and the Machines, as well as working on a few projects that will expand the Nadine Vendryes brand. Vendryes, has acquired much success and will continue to be successful, one beautiful face at a time.
Nadine Vendryes is signed to Balan Inc., a premier booking agency that represents wardrobe stylists, make-up artists, hair stylists, photographers and videographers.
